I now know it’s a powerhouse of an antioxidant that teaches skin cells to act younger…and I can’t imagine my line without it.

When I first launched Drunk Elephant, I put retinol (vitamin A) on my “no” list. Like many, I was confused and scared by the ingredient. I thought that retinol exfoliated skin. It doesn’t.

With retinol, you don’t need a lot and like all our formulations, A-Passioni™ can be mixed with the other products before applying, which means you
can completely adjust the amount, allowing your skin to ramp up to a happy tolerance at its own pace. I used 1% pure vegan retinol and some other nutritious superfood extracts like passionfruit, apricot, kale and winter cherry. I threw in peptides and fatty acids, too. It’s a comforting, silicone-free formulation that I think skin of any age can benefit from and fall in
love with.

P.S. Mix A-Passioni™ with C-Firma™ for day (it makes retinol work even better) followed by Umbra to further defend against environmental damage. OR, alternate or even mix with T.L.C. Framboos™ at night. AHAs clear the way for retinol to get in and work its magic.

    Morning or night, apply a pea-size amount or less to clean, dry face, avoiding the eye area. May be mixed with any Drunk Elephant cream or oil. Limit initial use to once or twice a week, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, and then every night as tolerated. Always use a broad spectrum sunscreen. TIP: Mix with B-Hydra™ for an extra shot of hydration and vitamin B.
